A shredder is a mechanical device used to cut various materials. Large volumes of bulky waste can be crushed or reduced in volume. Objects placed in the shredder are resolved by grinding, crushing, tearing, smashing or cutting into small pieces. The result is shredded biomass, especially wood and wood chips.
